MaximumASP Goes to Infoblox forExternal DNS

MaximumASP

MaximumASP

(TCPIPWorld) Infoblox Inc. manages over 50,000 domains for customers in 120 different countries and it recently announced that MaximumASP will be using its appliances to manage their external domain name service (DNS). Since MaximumASP is a hosting company, a DNS system is at the core of its functionality. After they evaluated their external DNS options, some of the requirements they came up with for a new solution were stability, a rock-hard operating system as well as an improved security platform that could resist distributed denial of service (DdoS) attacks.

Jerome Pascua, Lead Developer of MaximumASP, stated the importance of having a stable external DNS solution that was easy to use and manage, especially since it is a hosting firm. Furthermore, according to Pascua, Infoblox was the right fit due to its reliable and measurable appliance platforms, unique Grid technology as well as perceptive GUI. He is confident that their new DNS solution from Infoblox will support further growth in the company.

After reviewing various platforms, MaximumASP selected Infoblox-2000 hardware and Infoblox-1550 systems with Infoblox’s distinctive Grid technology. MaximumASP’s customer base is now being supported worldwide with Infoblox’s appliances which are stored at the data center in Kentucky.

The Infoblox-2000 hardware is made to setup in data centers, large businesses, as well as service provider environments. The hardware assures reliability through its fault-tolerant system which includes fully redundant, hot-swappable components. The Infoblox-2000 can be deployed one at a time or as a Grid member. MaximumASP managed its DNS by using the Grid member option in order to deliver measurable, high-performance external DNS services.

MaximumASP is managing its DNS through the use of Infoblox GUI and custom tools.
